And this is what they said:

Best local race this year so far

I've done this race every year since I started running and it's one of my favourites. The course is mainly flat so good times are possible also the route comes back into the village at 5k so supporters get to see the start finish and middle of the race. The organisation is first rate all the kilometres are clearly and accurately marked and after the race has finished there's plenty of stalls to look at and pubs to drink in.

Extremely well organised. No problem with parking. Great T-shirt. The fact that it's not too hilly [and that most of the last mile appears to be downhill] means that this is one of the fastest 10k races.

A great 10K

Flat course, friendly atmosphere, traffic free and well-organised. What more could you ask for?

Everything that a 10k should be.

A miniature festival of running.

Hats off to the folks of Hatfield Broad Oak for allowing the running community to take over their village for the day. The population must treble on the day of this event. I don't know how they manage. Great fast course, well organised, and a real carnival atmosphere. The wife and kids didn't run, and even they enjoyed it.

Scenic route, excellent organisation and a fine pub makes this race a winner!

Enjoyable route - no hills of significance and, when the route doubles back on itself, an opportunity to enjoy the fact that there are lots of people behind you!

Great atmosphere, perfect for a beginner and fantastic local support.

Love this race, village festival adds to the atmosphere....

A great race! One of my must-do races.

excellent race, plenty of support. good crowds even in the rain.

Great atmosphere...!

Second time I've run this one and enjoyed it as much as last year..! Given what's going on in the village, the family decided to come along and enjoy the various stalls etc.. Daughter run the Fun Run and at the end of it we all went home with smiles on our faces despite the rain.. A big THANKS to all those involved and we'll see you next year.

Fantastic small village run

A friendly, popular race with a good cross-section of runners of all levels. The course provided plenty of variety to make it interesting and the meeting/kit-drop location was ideally placed.

Very enjoyable race

This is a very enjoyable event, that runs through some scenic countryside, and is well supported by the local villagers. There is also plenty to see and do for the rest of the family to make this a great day out.

The Archers in real life. If the Archers were real, this is what their village fete would be like. Lots to do, a flower festival, loads of people and even some rain to moan about. Really excellent race - well organised, friendly and lots of support. Entirely car free and running through the village with the brass band playing and people cheering was really uplifting.

A very well organised race in a great setting!

Enjoyable atmosphere, well organised. No entry on day so get in early.

Large field and narrow lanes made for a crowded course. Ideal 10k route - gentle undulations, no traffic, countryside location and a mad downhill sprint to the busy finish. Well organised car parking, long toilet queues.

Fantastic race. Fast course, well marshalled. See you next year!

v good race well organisation and good t-shirt

As ever - one of the best races of the year

Shame about the weather (though not as bad as last year) - but that's the only bad thing to say about this lovely 10k. It's undulating, but very quick, good support, well marshalled and a village fete afterwards!

Classic of the calendar

Great race
